Our little preschooler

Dylan has officially started his preschool year at Holy Family Elementary School. He is very excited to be going to school and making new friends. I have had a rough time realizing that my little boys are growing into men so quickly.

Dylan's teacher is Mrs. Bieker. We have been told that she is one of the best preschool teachers to have. Dylan really seems to enjoy her.

When I asked Dylan what he did his first day of school he said "I watched tv and I colored with markers." No wonder he had fun, those are his two favorite activities besides playing with cars.

My mom and I are planning on helping with the field trip on October 6th to the pumpkin patch. It is hard to beleive that it is that time of year already.

Last night we made a family trip to the trail camera location on the corner of our property. We have been having a lot of fun checking the pictures and seeing what kinds of creatures are roaming on our land. Lance is definately looking forward to shooting another great white tail this year and I am hoping to be able to get my first. Lance says it is something I have to do at least once. I think more than anything I am just looking forward to the deer jerky.

It has been a while

It has been so long since I have updated our blog spot. Sorry to our family followers.

The wedding went very well for Lance and I. God blessed us with a perfect day (minus wind, but for Kansas, it was not bad). Our boys made wonderful ring boys.

Following our wedding in the park we took a trip to Vegas for a honeymoon. We had a fantastic time. I had a hard time prying Lance away from the gambling tables. He fell in love with the dollar Blackjack table.

The boys are doing fabulous. Dylan celebrated the big number 4 in February and is ready to start preschool at Holy Family Elementary School next week. He keeps telling me he is not going to school but I am praying for a happy venture on the 25th when he goes for camp.

Cameron is as active as ever and has started to dance. He has a Happy Feet dance that he loves to do and can almost do it on comand. My mother has taught him to point to his ear and his nose. This is very exciting for him. He has also unfortunately learned to climb. He has suffered a couple of tumbles but to our advantage, nothing tragic.

Lane has started his new job at Lewis Chrysler last week. He loves his job as a detailer and I am looking forward to getting the employee discount on a much needed better vehicle.

I am still working with Caleb at his law office and I am now the only help in the office which can be quite a challenge at times with two attorneys.

I will try to stay up to date with this posting. First day of school pictures will be coming soon so keep your eyes open.

Dylan's Big Number 4

Well, our little Dylan is 4 now. I still can't believe it, obviously, given my mistake of Saturday. Funny story for everyone but me. I was in the bakery picking up Dylan's Happy 4th Birthday cake and the guy at the counter asks me "did you need any candles?" Of course I do. So I wander over to the candles and pick up a candle, pay and then leave. When I get home Lance checks out the cake in the kitchen and peeks his head around the corner, "hey honey, you do know Dylan is four right?" I simply looked at him and said, "yes". He cocks his head to the side and says "then why did you buy a number 3 candle?" I just about died. And to make it worse, the man at the counter at the bakery knew it was Dylan's 4th birthday. Talk about embarrassing.

Despite my embarrassing story to the whole birthday crew at the restaurant, we had a marvelous time. Dylan got to wear the absolutely fabulous sombrero and got his picture taken with his ice cream. He had a wonderful time and got a whole slew of great gifts that he is just loving. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes and thanks to those of you who were able to make it to the party. For those of you who missed it, we missed you and hope to see you next year.

Upcoming Birthdays

Well, the boys' birthdays are rapidly approaching. Dylan is going to turn 4 on Sunday and our baby Cameron will be 1 on the 4th. It doesn't seem real that our boys are getting so big.

It seems like just a few months ago Cam was born and we were swaddling him in our arms. Now he is almost as big as I am and I can hardly contain him for more than a few seconds. He doesn't hold still for long. He is definitely enjoying a lot more things now that he can manipulate them better. He has really good coordination in hands (with his fingers). He is learning to walk now. He has learned to effectively pull himself up on things and walk around the items by holding on for stability. He will be walking unassisted in no time. Mom is not ready.

Dylan is getting ready to start preschool and is asking me everyday if he can go. I have to keep telling him "no, not until the end of summer". Of course that doesn't mean anything to him. He is getting to be a pretty fantastic basketball player. He has a goal in the dining room that he practices with and he has become efficient at throwing from across the room and making baskets. He is quite proud. He has asked Lance and I for a golf set for his birthday. We were thinking just a driver and a putter would do. Boy, were we wrong. Dylan informed us that he wants the whole bag full of clubs and the balls and tees to go with it. I guess we will see how good he turns out to be.
